When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

the blurriness isn't a problem in my opinion....
this is a fantastic "kitty" shot. you caught -him?- just at the right moment to achieve an emotive photograph of a kitten. it looks like a please don't leave me plead(meow). the kitten appears slightly sad and longing in the eyes.
the blurred lower half of the kitten offsets the face of the kitten in a nice way. there's enough detail in the face for me to see hair grain...
this had to have been a spontaneous shot, yes?
I'm not sure the whether the bundle of stuff beneath the kitten detracts or compliments.
i do however wish the eyes of the kitten were lit up by light a touch more...photoshop might work for that...it would give the kitten's face a little pop of color in contrast to the overwhelming neutrals save the kitty's almost invisible tongue.
for some reason i feel bad for the kitten. -he?- looks so sad to me. maybe i'm projecting my own thoughts into your work....i'm not sure.
i like this'n and hope to see some more. try to get the eyes and/or tongue to catch light the light better if at all possible. it would bring out the face like nobody's business.
The timing of this shot is amazing, I know first hand that catching a cat mid-meow can be a very challenging thing to do. His expression is caught perfectly, you can easily imagine that he's saying something (for me it looks like '
The depth of field is spot on. You captured the head of the cat and made everything we don't need to see fade into the background. I also especially like the tones of the shot, it's very warm; the kind of temperature you can only get indoors.
And the simple border adds a nice touch of professionalism to this protesting kitty.
